Tennis Balls

There are more than a few life hacks surrounding tennis balls. Throw a few tennis balls into the pool to soak up any sunscreen or left-over body oils into the balls’ wool and nylon.

Lemon Slices

To get rid of any metal stains, wrap up a few lemon slices in a piece of fabric to use as a scrub. Metal stains are most frequently found in the corners of the swimming pool, so focus on those. You can also use this lifehack to get rid of any metal stains in the kitchen too.

Note: Vitamin C tablets work equally well to deal with metal stains.

Pool Cleaning

If you’re missing a pool skimmer, a spare window screen can work just as well.  Put the window screen on a broomstick with a wire attached, and you can use it as a DIY skimmer.

Run The Pump

It can be tedious, but it’s a good way to ensure that your pool stays in peak condition. Run the pool pump twice a day, every day for your pool to be used at any given time.

Sponge And Vinegar

If you forgot to shop for decalcifying chemicals, you can use a sponge and vinegar instead. Decalcification is important to prevent parts from breaking down, such as the pool filter, heater, and pump in the long term.
